Emergency Services Regatta - Newcastle - March 2nd 2020
One day regatta on Newcastle Harbour racing Elliott 6's on Monday 2 March, 2020 hosted by NSW Police Sailing. These sport boats are best suited for 3 persons.

10:00 First Warning Signal - Near Honeysuckle Hotel
15:00 Last Warning Signal
16:00 Prizegiving Ceremony - NCYC Clubhouse
Format to be windward/leeward races around 15-20 minutes in duration for the first boat to finish (2 laps). Parking will be at the Yacht Club, with the briefing conducted there and then all persons transported to the Honeysuckle Hotel by tender Honeysuckle Hotel is then used as a rest area and change over area for crews and crews can get lunch from the Hotel at their expense. This way, crews waiting to change over can watch the action in the shade with refreshments available.
It is envisaged that we will easily fill more than 8 boats and if this does occur, teams will be changed over on the course with all teams getting equal water/racing time.
Cost TBC but will be no more than $60.00 per competitor for boat charter, race tenders, race officials, etc. A free BBQ will also be provided at the end of the day.

United Airlines Sailing Club will host the 2018 WASC/ASCA on Lake Michigan from Chicago's Belmont Harbor. We will be sailing in J-22s with just a Main and Jib setup. No spinnakers (symmetrical or asymmetrical).
Proposed dates: September 18-22, 2018.

World Airline Sailing Championships 2017
Lufthansa Sailing Hamburg will host the 2017 ASCA/WASC in Ratzeburg, Germany from 12th to 17th September 2017.
The old city of Ratzeburg is located on an island which is connected via three dams with the mainland. It has a long history and one of the oldest cathedrals in Germany. It is located on the historic Old Salt Route between Lüneburg and Lübeck. Ratzeburg is ca. 60km to the North-East from Hamburg. Lake Ratzeburg is about 10 km long and 1 km wide. Boats will be Conger, a German Class Regatta boat. Event will be hosted by CVJM Freizeit und Segelzentrum (=YMCA) and Ratzeburg Sailing Club. Accommodation is directly on shore.
For the lay day Lufthansa will prepare excursion to Lübeck, Wismar, Hamburg, tbd.

This year will be a bumper year. QSC has 3 Adams 10s chartered with the NSW Police Force chartering one. Possibly more as the regatta gets closer.

Post race BBQs first two days with presentation evening including dinner on the 15th.

Austrian Airlines will host the ASCA/WASC 2016 in Austria from September 14th to Sept. 16th.
Following rough schedule will take place:
Venue TBA and info will be passed on as soon as accommodation, team fees, individual fees etc are known. There will be at least 10 boats available, probably 11 depending on the venue.

Notice is given to all QSC members of the 45th Annual General Meeting of the Qantas Sailing Club.
